Mies van der Rohe Pavilion
When summer arrives, a new edition of Pantalla Pavelló begins—the open-air film series that transforms the travertine wall of the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion into a giant screen. Through a space for conversation, each film is contextualized, highlighting the role architecture plays in how we live our lives.
This year’s series, titled We Are the Houses We Live In, invites us to reflect on domestic space, coexistence, and architecture through three films: Jonathan Glazer’s The Zone of Interest, Laia Manresa’s Casa Reynal, and Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite. Each of these films, from very different perspectives, explores the relationship between people and the places they inhabit, showing us how our surroundings shape our lives and how, in turn, we transform the spaces we occupy.
